Director of Digital

Job Description:

Looking for a fast-paced, innovative, experienced professional to join our rapidly growing team to bring revolutionary consumer diagnostics product to market. We specifically want talent who takes initiative and wants to make a real impact in a start-up environment.

As the company’s Director of Digital, you will be responsible for P&L of our direct sales channels, ROI and brand health for all digital performance marketing and CRM, and overall user experience for the App and website. Responsibilities include launching and driving the business with all digital touchpoints.

As part of a start-up, role includes both managing and hands on execution as a sole contributor.

  • Manage Web / App Developer to build, test QA, launch, and maintain all digital properties and execute all digital campaigns.
  • Manage Social Media Manager for consistency in messaging on social media channels and to support email marketing execution.

Work with Product Manager for content for the FAQs, how to videos, and customer service. Manage Web Developer and Social Media Manager. Manage external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the overall P&L for direct channel including the website, app, and all digital marketing.

  1. Execute all digital marketing including SEO, SEM, digital advertising, and social media 
  2. Drive performance marketing with measureable channels and ongoing optimization of traffic and conversion. Manage, analyze, and report on all measurement including Google analytics, brand health, and social metrics.
  3. Manage website as an ecomm site with brand assets. Analyze, report, and optimize based on all ecomm metrics.
  4. Develop overall CRM strategy including content strategy. Execute and manage ongoing. Customize experience by user profile.
  5. Manage App (content, functionality, benefits & features) as the broader ecosystem to drive conversion.
  6. Develop relationship with, manage and execute all external partnerships, including API integrations
  7. Drive affiliate marketing channels, including bloggers.
  8. Work with Product Manager and Software Engineer to ensure functionality integrated with the product / GUI and App.
  9. Integrate all instructions for use, including written manuals, how to videos, packaging, spec information and FAQs for customer service and into the app/website.
  10. Support all consumer & professional tradeshows to drive awareness and conversion of the brand from a conference and social media engagement perspective.
  11. Ongoing, develop content and additional platforms for the App
  12. Follow digital trends ongoing, and incorporate best practices into ecomm, app, and performance marketing plans.

Professional Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • Strong experience building, launching, and maintaining own brand ecomm site
  • Strong experience building, launching, and maintaining an app for iOS and Android
  • Strong experience driving performance marketing
  • Experience in the following:
    • Performance marketing – examples in driving different channels, ROI measurement, optimization
    • App & ecomm site development – market requirements, wireframes, design direction, ongoing trade-off decision making around features, cost, and timing to execute
    • Ecomm selling tools including product page description, photography, and video
    • CRM – building, managing databases and email integration, email content and design creation, subject line testing, nurturing/drip campaigns, conversion analytics and optimization
    • SEO performance
    • iOS and Android app development experience, selling in iTunes store
    • Architecting requirements for multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • 10+ years digital marketing experience in consumer products
  • Strong powerpoint and excel skills. Database analytics (business intelligence) a plus.

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Job Description:

Looking for a fast-paced, innovative, experienced professional to join our rapidly growing team to bring our revolutionary consumer diagnostics product to market. We specifically want talent who takes initiative and wants to make a real impact in a start-up environment.

You will be responsible for leading the voice of the consumer in all products and touchpoints of the consumer experience and launching the product to market. Responsibilities will include leading and executing all market research. Role includes both strategic thinking and hands on execution as a sole contributor. As a start-up with a small team, responsibilities will vary and may change based on the needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Launch the product and drive consumer delight throughout the first moment of truth, second moment of truth and into advocacy.

  1. Define, refine, and execute market requirements and performance claims for current and future products by conducting marketing research.
  2. Lead all market research during development and post-launch. Includes qualitative and quantitative, database management for recruiting, use of Mailchimp and Salesforce. 
  3. Develop and manage smart (specific, measureable, actionable, realists, time bound) requirements for all aspects of the consumer experience with the product.  
  4. Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Science teams to ensure product meets all marketing requirements. 
  5. Develop and implement all instructions for use, including written manuals, how to videos, packaging, spec information and FAQs for customer service and the app/website.
  6. Develop final packaging, including structure and graphics, inner & outer packaging.  
  7. Develop and implement go to market plan, including all product-based communication, ecomm site, packaging, and other touchpoints. 
  8. Develop key demo materials and demonstrate product to all key influencers. 
  9. Attend all consumer & professional tradeshows to drive awareness and conversion of the brand. Lead execution for tradeshow booth and signage development as well as conference attendance logistics.
  10. Ongoing, develop content and additional platforms for the product ecosystem.  

Professional Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • Strong experience driving voice of consumer for hardware and software (this is a must)
  • Experience in the following:
    • Product line planning – current and future generations of product and technology to drive profit
    • Stage-gate product development process including concept to launch
    • Product development – market requirements, industrial design direction, ongoing trade-off decision making around features
    • Experience with GUI (graphical interface) and ID (industrial design) direction
    • Packaging development (structure & graphics)
    • Market research – recruiting and interviewing/observing consumers and medical professionals directly
    • Ecomm selling tools including product page description, photography, and video
    • Content creation, including digital, email, blog, and printed copy – strong writing skills
    • CRM experience
    • iOS and Android app development experience
    • Architecting requirements for multiple data sources & databases into one system
  • 10+ years product marketing experience in consumer products and/or medical device
  • Strong powerpoint and excel skills
